  3. Corrosion/Erosion Monitoring System (CEMS)

Real-time, reliable, and high-quality wall thickness data enables plant operators to maximise pressure equipment availability and avoid unplanned shutdowns.

Many components in the power, chemical, petrochemical, refining, and mining industries operate critical service equipment which can suffer from corrosion and erosion. For critical service equipment, operators need to know accurate thickness values to maintain fitness for service and provide insights that can optimise process parameters to prolong lifetimes.

The equipment is often located in hazardous environments or operating at high temperatures. In response to this, IRISNDT uses CEMS for equipment requiring continuous monitoring whilst on-stream. We are a certified installation partner of Ionix HotSense™, an ultrasonic technology that offers high precision, non-intrusive, intrinsically safe, wall loss trending on pressure vessels and piping circuits across a wide continuous operating temperature range (-200 to +550 °C).
