FAILURE ANALYSIS
Failure analyses investigations give us insight as to why a component has failed and what measures are required to make the equipment repair/replacement plans more reliable. The techniques/technologies we typically use to analyze failures are:
- Non-destructive tests such as ultrasound and magnetic particles
- Optical Microscopy
- Metallography
- Scanning Electron Microscopy
- X-Ray Diffraction
- Chemical Analyses
- Mechanical Testing
- Our knowledge of the specialized process equipment used in plants in general, refineries, chemical and petrochemical processing plants.
We perform failure analyses of metallic and non-metallic components. Specifically, we evaluate fibre-reinforced plastics (FRP), elastomers, thermoplastics, plastic lined pipe (lined with high density polyethylene, TeflonŽ, and polypropylene), steel, stainless steel, nickel alloys, and others.
